The road

This afternoon, I drove to Ontario (the next province over) to toast to the life of my dear friend's father. He suddenly and sadly passed away last weekend. The words and toasts honoring him were lovely. Many stories were shared and he will be greatly missed!
The weather for the drive was beautiful, although it was kind of a strange trip. Firstly, it is always awkward to say goodbye... and, secondly, it was way too peaceful in the car. I am not used to driving without fighting going on in the backseat!
