Hi all!

Yesterday was a pretty good day... we weren't late getting the boys to school, there was minimal fighting, I only had one class to teach, I wrote my 700th blog post  and..... I bought tickets for us (the 3 boys and I) to go to Sweden this summer :) Don't worry- I didn't forget Andreas! He will already be there for work... and we are just catching up... yup.... me and the 3 boys.... on an airplane... just me.... and them.... after being a "single" mother to them for the 3 weeks prior to that... Yups... I can feel some major blog posts coming up in June ;)
Anyway, I bought tickets so, once again, you will be invited to come along for the trip ;) Anyone want to stay in our house to take care of our zoo? ;)

Happy Friday night to all xox

Of course, the Swedish Royal Family will be waiting for us at the airport ;)

Sweden awaits :)

Number 700!

This is my 700th blog post! Considering that I am not a "real" blogger, was never able to keep a diary and I feel like I am going crazy half most of the time,  I am very happy to be celebrating this milestone.

Thanks for being a part of my chaotic, boy-filled life xox

If it weren't for these boys, I wouldn't be outnumbered ;)

Woo hoo!

Wow- this is blog post #699... in honour of the upcoming #700, I wanted to write something deep... something meaningful... something poetic... however, I don't have enough brain cells to meet the challenge. So, you get some more photos of Montreal ;) Given that we will have temperatures up to 14C this week, the atmosphere in the city has shifted. People are in better moods... walking straighter... coming back to life... hope it is not a tease ;)

Wishing you all a happy Wednesday evening xox

Look! No snow!

Drying up...

Happy me!

The stores are starting to sell SHORTS!

More shorts!

Happy people!

Even the buildings are starting to sparkle ;)

See- no snow! ;)

Happy Wednesday from Montreal :)

The way my boys hear me...

After a weekend of not being listened to (who am I kidding? This is a permanent state of being for me...), I have come to the conclusion that I AM CHARLIE BROWN'S TEACHER! Except that, unlike some of the characters in this cartoon, no one understands my WAH WAH WAH! ;)

OK... vent over... happy Monday to you all xox

Sunday morning

I cannot even begin to describe how nice it was to not have an alarm to wake up to this morning.... ;) We still woke up fairly early (before 7am) but enjoyed some quiet time together... catching up on coffee, news, Youtubers, video games, blogs and recipe websites. The afternoon will be filled with sport events and homework but, for now, let's enjoy the moment...

Happy Sunday to you all! xox

Half of the family... Nicka is hiding under the blanket (it is cosier that way). Alexander was still sleeping and Andreas was taking out the other dog :)

Tough life ;)

Out from under the blanket ;)

Playing video games takes concentration, mamma ;)

No words....

No words.... just more snow.... I cannot wait until June ;)

I had to stop and get out of the stupid storm...

I ended up taking the bus into work... best $3.25 I ever spent ;)

Montreal snow dump

As mentioned yesterday, we had a snow storm... and it only finished after I got to work today. Needlessly to say, there is a lot of #$@@#** snow on the ground. So, to spare you the vent, I will just post some pictures. If you like them, I am happy. If you also dislike snow or are sick of it, then you can sympathize with me.. It is not like we had a crappy winter to date.... I just miss my sandals... and my sanity ;)

Happy Monday ;)

This is a car... seriously...

See... you can just make it out ;)

This week

Suddenly, I checked the calendar and the week had passed :P

I know.. this seems to happen a lot lately... I make apologies for a busy week and things not happening on the blog front. Sadly, it has happened again... despite my best efforts at keeping "post on blog" on my list of things to do ;)

This week was filled with work... oh, yes, I get paid for doing that ;)... We also had some pretty crazy weather... warm temperatures on Monday and Tuesday... ice storm on Wednesday... freezing temperatures on Thursday and Friday....

Also, on Thursday, I went to see a talk done by Mikael Colville-Andersen of Copenhagenize or Copenhagen Cycle Chic. I have had a bit of a philosophy crush on him for a while (ie: how to get people to see themselves as cyclists, which is very parallel to what interests me; how to get people to see themselves as exercisers). Anyway, he is a great speaker and, despite the differences in focus (urban design vs lifestyle behaviour shifts), I was left with a great deal of food for thought. He is also a great cure for a little bit of reverse homesickness that I experienced when I first moved back to Montreal from Copenhagen. I had a ton more questions to ask him but, for now, that was as good as it got ;)

The bonus about hanging out in town to see Mikael's talk was I GOT TO HANG OUT IN TOWN... BY MYSELF... TO DO SOMETHING... THAT INTERESTS ME... ME... IMAGINE..... Yes, all you mothers out there, you get this. Seriously. I also got to take the bus and metro home, which I haven't done in ages and I absolutely felt like a newbie ;)

Today, I had a departmental meeting at work and then hurried back to make sure that my boys, all home for a day off from school, hadn't committed mutiny at home. They were all in one piece, no fighting... and hadn't locked me out ;) Good sign!

I will be back tomorrow... after my soccer tournament... which will be another story onto itself ;)

Wishing you all a good Friday evening xox
