Today, I went on a school trip with Alexander's class to go "hiking and biking". It was a great trip- really. I miss being on a bike (left over from my Copenhagen days) and it was fantastic to hang out with the kids, teachers and other parent volunteers. The scenery was beautiful and we all had a great time!
The most strange encounter during the day was that I ended up making "friends" with a turtle: he (or she- I really don't know) was trying to cross the busy road to get back to the water. I stopped my car and my intention was to pick it up by its shell and put it on the other side of the road, away from traffic. Problem was that it was one MASSIVE (about 45 cm across and more than 1 kg) snapping turtle who was totally not so keen on me. Thankfully, another sucker.. I mean woman... stopped and offered me her shovel so that I could carry this mean turtle to the other side. I had to take a picture when we got it, safely, to its destination. Can you see the appreciation on its face? ;) Haha! I don't think so either :)
Hope you all had a great day xox
