Walking

Nicklas had a birthday party in our neighbourhood so we decided to walk there. Before having children, Andreas and I used to enjoy long, long walks every weekend. Then, after Alexander was born, we still took long, long walks but it was now mostly because that kid NEVER SLEPT... EVER! So, walking around for hours, with Alexander in his pram, was the only way that we could ever trick him into sleeping for a bit ;)
Now that the boys are getting bigger, I look forward to enjoying walks with them... but, at this time, who am I fooling? On the way back from dropping Nicka off, Alexander complained about how boring the walk was and Oliver insisted that I carry him on my shoulders all the way home... I can't say that the experience was either pleasant or relaxing ;)
Can't blame me for trying! In the mean time, I miss my long walks...

Happy Sunday (or what is left of it) to you all :)

  1. They need a joint mission. We often took a football with us, but live in a quiet neighborhood. Perhaps bingo cards; find together the numbers on houses, car license plates.
Frankly, we walk for a while no longer with the five of us ;-)
Long walks are good for the mind and talking together!

    1. We started the walk with the intention to look at Hallowe'en decorations. Guess they weren't too impressed with our neighbourhood decor ;)
