The best temporary office ;)

On Wednesday, Alexander went to a friend's house to play so I had 2 very bored little brothers on my hands. Add on top of it a VERY BIG pile of papers to correct.... ugh! So, I decided to move office space and take them to a local indoor gym. The price to get in (plus some juice and 2 lattes) were totally worth two and a half hours of work and some happy, tired kids :)

New haircuts

Today, the boys (not including Andreas this time) all got cool haircuts! Alexander opted to lose the long bangs and go for some spikes.... Nicka wanted a spiky do as well.... and Oliver wanted a "basketball" cut (not quite sure what that is but we went for it anyway)!

Football/soccer night out :)

Last night, Andreas and I took the boys to their first ever pro football/soccer game: Montreal Impact vs a team from Pachuca, Mexico (Pachuca FC). The winner would go to the CONCACAF semi finals (Impact tied, by the way, in the last seconds of the game- enough to move them on- see link here).  It ended up being a great game with, surprisingly for a Canadian city (especially a hockey city!), a great environment! The boys LOVED it (and so did Andreas and I).

We drove through a snow storm to get to the Olympic Stadium.... obviously, an indoor game ;).... but so did another 38,104 other people. It was fun to be at the party :)

Out for a walk

I love March! Seriously, it is love at first sight :)

Ever since March rolled around, we have gone from sub-sub-freezing temperatures to something that is actually reasonable. I mean, we can- imagine this- go outside and enjoy a walk. A very positive sign is that our dog (who seems to hate winter and cold as much as I do) actually wanted to go out for a walk. More suprising even, was that I took her. Even better was that I didn't even need gloves :) It was snowing but, when it is warmer, it doesn't matter!

A little bit of Lego....

I think that I mentioned Andreas and I were redoing Nicka and Oliver's room... well, it is done! All in the Lego theme :) Here are a few highlights.... I didn't do any full room shots because I am washing the bedding today. When the beds look presentable, I'll post some pictures of the full room.

We are now officially on spring break week (hmm... as per my last post, this name is not very accurate)! I am so happy- not because we are going somewhere warm- but this means ONE WEEK OF NO HOMEWORK, NO MAKING LUNCHES AND NO STRESSING IN THE MORNINGS! ;) Andreas has to work (his break was this past week) so I am staying home with the boys.... sometimes I wonder if he planned that all along ;)

Memorable February

This February has been the coldest on RECORDED HISTORY! See, I wasn't imagining it ;) Unless it becomes +40C every day, for the next few days, then this February wins the award for being the most memorable, award winning terrible month... EVER.... Well, maybe until next year ;)

Good riddance!

I will now cease my complaining because March is supposed to bring actually sane, normal temperatures.... like -10C ;)
