Surprise mix

Over the past few years, we had an infestation of some kind of plant that just spread like wildfire in our garden. Andreas and I tried to get rid of it, over and over, and- finally- it seemed like we managed to clear it. This summer, we decided not to plant a lot of fancy flowers because we weren't sure if pain-in-the-bum-plant would come back so I threw on a pack of surprise mix wildflowers ($7.99 at Walmart). While we were in PEI, they started to bloom and I couldn't be happier! Awesome colours, no care required and butterfly-magnets.... <3 Maybe I will do this every year!

Flower bomb

Yesterday, it snowed. Really. Not much.... but enough... ugh! Happily, today is much better! Sunny and warm-ish... I will take it! Thought I would post a flower bomb in order to make up for the crappy snow ;) Nothing like Montreal in the spring time!

Rain, rain

Yesterday and today has been very rainy. Cons = cancelled soccer practices and being in the house. Pros = cancelled soccer practices and being in the house ;) Oh yeah, and no watering the lawn..

Hope your week has started off well... my beloved peonies are out so I am happy :)

Flashback....

.... say no more ;) Since I can't say anything nice about the weather, I won't say anything at all. Instead, I will dream about sunshine, flowers and warm weather.... ahhhhh..

Peony power

I LOVE peonies... even though Andreas thinks that they are an old woman flower ;) The ones that I have growing in our garden are opening up so I brought some into the house to enjoy! They are lovely and smell amazing.... wish there was a scent option for my blog today!

Friday part 2: how to get out of trouble

When we lived in Denmark, we always thought it was really funny that the only shops that were open on Sundays were flower shops. It almost seemed like they were having the best business from husbands/boyfriends who had been very badly behaved the night before and needed to make it up to the woman in their life.

Anyway, sometimes Andreas' brain signals, you know the ones who sensor the mouth from saying dumb things, doesn't always work so well ;) Good thing that the flower shops are open here on the way home from work. Guess my Swede took a lesson from those Danish men ;) Hahaha!

Flowers along the way

It has been very rainy the past few days but I am not complaining: AT LEAST IT IS NOT SNOW!!! :) The grass and flowers are all so green! I am also happy because there are lilacs everywhere and they are my absolute favourites. Hope you all had a good day!
