Anyway, the day was a success and Oliver was sad to see his friend go. We assured him that he would see his buddy soon and life was good again :) That and cake helped too ;)

Happy boys and happy weekend
Today was Oliver's first real play date at our home. He had a friend
from daycare come by and, since Oliver hasn't been at daycare since
June, it was sheer happiness to see his friend again. The two small boys
were so excited. The two bigger ones (ie: Alexander and Nicka) were
just excited to get Oliver off their backs ;)
Anyway, the day was a success and Oliver was sad to see his friend go. We assured him that he would see his buddy soon and life was good again :) That and cake helped too ;)

It sounds like Oliver relay had a god timen and from the look at the photos, it seams that all the boys enjoyed that delicious cake :D

DeleteThat is so sweet that your little boy had his own friend over. I have had a few tears from my three year old who wants to join in every time her eight year old sister has a friend over, and sometimes the eight year olds want a break from her! Her nursery is shut for seven weeks and I am missing it.
ReplyDeleteSince I had my older boys at home and we were away for 3 weeks, we decided to keep Oliver home too. I think he misses having a routine that suits him. Good thing that school starts next week ;) I think that we can all use a bit of routine again!
