Like father, like son

We are a strange family because we actually go to Ikea to do grocery shopping. People give me funny looks when I unload my large shopping cart in front of the panicked cashier. Yes, I actually do use the 5 containers of rugbrød mix that I have just placed in front of you ;) Anyway, another highlight of the trip is the Swedish candy (lösgodis)... both for Andreas... and for Oliver. Like father, like son ;)

PS: of course, the 2 older boys got candies too... we have to be fair ;)

Happy Father's Day to the best man I could think of to be the father of our boys. You give them attention, love, respect and teach them to be the best jokers in the world ;) They will be good men because of you. xox

Christmas shopping

I do the Christmas present shopping. Actually, I do ALL present shopping... for every birthday-other holiday-other kid birthday- good report card- every other event that we may encounter during the year. I guess that it was on the mother contract and I just didn't read the fine print ;) Andreas is very talented because he swoops in at the last second, just as the WRAPPED (not by him, just saying!) present is being handed over, and says "A present.... from PAPPA!" and then he sits there trying to figure out what is in the package. Guess this part is in the father contract... and he negotiated the better deal ;)

Mini-me

Last week, I bought Alexander and Andreas some dress shirts. This was shortly after I found some really nice pants in both of their sizes. What can I say? I am a sucker for store sales... and nicely dressed men ;) Anyway, on Thursday, Alexander had to dress up for school because he had a soccer game that afternoon. I guess that Andreas liked the look.... and thought that it would be funny to have a mini-me.

Heard in the car today

Oliver said to me "I love pappa. Do you know why?". I answered "Because he is your father?" Oliver shakes his head and says "No. It is because he is old. My favourite Youtube guy says that we should love all old people. THAT is why I love pappa... because he is old."

For some reason, I was happy to let Andreas be the focus of his affections today ;)

Wishing all fathers (and single mothers who are doing double duty) a very happy day! Andreas got some sweet cards from the boys and now they are all in the living room, watching World Cup Soccer. Apparently, it is cool to support Switzerland because they are wearing awesome cheese hats ;)
