Turning back the clocks

Yesterday, between the time I left work and the time I got to the train station, it got dark. Not the late afternoon sun like I got used to during my post-work walk but a real night time dark. During my train ride home, it got even darker... and darker. Honestly, by the time I got off the train, I could have sworn it was at least 10 pm. From one week to the next, not only did we set the clock back an hour but it also feels like we lost another 5!!!
Winter time... here we come ;)

A friend of mine posted this image on Facebook. It was exactly how I felt yesterday so I had to steal it ;) By the way, I got home at 6:15 ;)

Wishing you all a happy darkness ;) xox

Dark and light

Now that the days are getting shorter, I am finding it so important to appreciate the little bit of light that we have (both outside and inside). Even leaving work fairly early yesterday (at 2:30pm), I could already feel the darkness on its way. At home, after taking a summer's break, our lamps are on more often and our candles are living very short lives ;) Our poor plants are suffering light withdrawal and I am sympathizing :) Good day to you all xox

I feel the complaining coming on..... ;)

All day yesterday, it snowed. It snowed again today. It never ceases to amaze me how we (read: others) forget how to drive in the winter time. Total chaos! The boys are amazed at how dark it is already. Oliver even asked me why I picked him up from daycare at bedtime (it was only 4pm).
YUPS... winter time is coming on full force.... blah!
