Today, Alexander turns 21 years old! I know that I say this often but time really does fly! Sometimes I look at him and am amazed at how fast that little baby and cookie-eating toddler boy turned into this grown man.... especially when Andreas and I haven't aged at all ;)

Today, our youngest turns 15! I can't believe it! What happened to the 3 year old Oliver of 2014 when I started this blog? Well, he is now finishing grade 9 and a good head taller than me (plus an attitude to match- just ask his brothers) ;)

Hello again! Long time, no see ;) Thought I would pop by in honour of Alexander's 20th birthday! I can hardly believe it. One day he was a little boy and the next a grown man! As he leaves the teen years and finishes his last year of college, we just want him to know how incredibly proud we are of him and who he has become.

Today, my baby turns 14 years old... and he has officially entered his teenage phase 😉 This includes the overuse of popular phrases like "Talk to the hand", "Yes, old mamma", "You are not cool" and the ever famous eye-roll 😉 He is definitely the family entertainment factor and the loudest one on PS4.

Last week, Oliver graduated from elementary school. He was the last of our three boys there. I told him that he was at that school literally from birth- he was 2 days old when I had him with me, picking Alexander up from kindergarten.
I know that Oliver is excited to graduate, excited to move on but, I have to admit, I am a little sentimental. Our school was good to our boys- many of the friends that both Alexander and Nicklas still have became their friends during elementary school. I wish the same for Oliver.
It will be strange to send Oliver off to high school in the fall. Firstly, because it is high school... when the heck did that happen? Secondly, because it will be to another school, another building and another era.
Congrats, little man! We love you!

Today is Oliver's 12th birthday! He is getting ready to head to high school in the fall... What?!? Wait?!? When did that happen? Our baby is not such a baby anymore!

Today is Alexander's 17th birthday!! I cannot believe that he is one short year away from being a legal adult. He is in college, playing football with guys who have full beards and is close to leaving us with only one car. Alexander now stays up later than me and has a way more active social life with his friends than I do. Some days I look at him and wonder who the young man in front of me is and where that little boy went to... and then he will say something goofy and I know that the little guy is still there... under those muscles and facial hair. Happy birthday to our first born!!! We wish you a wonderful 17th year!!!
And, suddenly, Alexander is graduating from high school. It seems like yesterday that we first took him there to find his locker and pick up his grade 7 schedule (see here for a flashback) and now he is finishing! On Friday, the school filmed all the grads walking across the stage and we will get to see it on June 25 (my birthday so this video will be my present!). Despite the ongoing COVID-19 situation, the school really tried to make the kids feel special. They even allowed the gowns to come home for pictures... so guess what we did? Here is the result.... Happy graduation, Alexander. We are so proud of you 💙

Today, is Oliver's birthday! One Nintendo Switch and Nerf gun richer, he is ready to rock being 11. I can't believe that he will be in grade 6 this fall and looking into high schools for the following year. Geez, time flies!
