In the air....

Autumn is definitely in the air. Even though it has still been very warm lately, the air feels different. The sun looks different. The light looks different. The trees are even starting to change colour!

Actually, in a way, I don't mind. Autumn is my favourite season. I love the crisp morning air. I love wearing cosy sweaters. I love the cool evenings. I love the smell of autumn leaves.

I would love autumn much more, if it wasn't followed by winter ;) Now THAT is a whole other story ;)

10 years!

Last night, Alexander was celebrated with lots of presents, his favourite food and tons of cake :) It was a good day for a 10 year old!

Happy things

Cool idea

In Montreal, old newspaper vending machines are being given a second life as roadside libraries. Perfect place to drop off loved books in exchange for new discoveries. You just open up the front door and see what is inside. In this day of internet everything, I just love this idea! (PS: it is even better when it is located right outside a good coffee shop!)

A little weekend away

Since we didn't have a "kid" birthday party for Oliver, we decided to go up north for the weekend to make our own family party ;) We're in Mont Tremblant, enjoying the village. On tonight's menu: a little walk, a little cosy, a little wine and a little people watching. PS: the kids are not getting wine... that is for Andreas and me ;)

I heart the Irma Chicken

In Copenhagen, by the lakes- Dronning Louises bridge, to be precise, there is an old neon sign on the top of a building that advertises Irma eggs. Irma is a Danish grocery store chain and the chicken (along with the Irma girl) is one of the iconic "faces" of the brand. Actually, it is now considered much more than an advertisement but more of  a landmark in the Copenhagen suburb of Nørrebro (for more information see this link). Ever since I first arrived in Denmark, this chicken has been my favourite!  I used to dream about living just below the famous laid egg. Others, such as super cool Danish blogger Sandra at ClassicCopenhagen, also have this chicken in their hearts.
Recently, I found a great poster of this chicken on justspotted.dk!!! It is now at my house, framed and ready to be put in a place of honour on my office wall. A little bit of happiness for those long work days, where I need just a bit of inspiration.... Ahhhhh! Love!
