Boys at the park

Even if the weather is not the best, having a park nearby always ends up being a total  life saver! There is nothing  better than being able to burn off some energy, kick a ball, throw some sand and get dirty... well, not for me because I can never have a holiday from laundry ;)

Wishing you all a great rest of the day.... xox

Oliver and his balloon

Oliver loves balloons. He especially loves to draw on balloons. This poses 2 problems: 1) the balloons often pop when he colours on them (= bad for him) and 2) he uses washable markers, which means that his balloons leave markers trails all over the house when he plays with them (= bad for me). Anyway, given his love for his unique kind of art, we deal with both of those problems and just keep lots of back up balloons (and cleaning products!) on hand.

Here are some pictures of his recent masterpiece.... it popped about 15 minutes later but, at least, I captured it!

Happy Monday to you all XOX

Many faces!

The best temporary office ;)

On Wednesday, Alexander went to a friend's house to play so I had 2 very bored little brothers on my hands. Add on top of it a VERY BIG pile of papers to correct.... ugh! So, I decided to move office space and take them to a local indoor gym. The price to get in (plus some juice and 2 lattes) were totally worth two and a half hours of work and some happy, tired kids :)

Best temporary office ever!

Coffee #1.... need to start correcting....

I LOVE this place ;)

Nicklas, action man!

Coffee #2.... getting work done ;)

Snow Ninjas

Even though the majority of my family would prefer to be in sandals right now (maybe not Andreas because he actually likes winter), we all have to make the most of the season that we are in. After dropping the boys off at their school yard yesterday, they decided to spend the day being snow ninjas. I didn't really like the stick that Nicklas found (he had to put it back into the woods after the picture- boring mamma!) but they looked really sweet with their new hats on. Probably "sweet" is not a good ninja description word but, heck, I am allowed ;) I watched their ninja moves (and those of the other boys that had joined in) until the bell rung and they were called into school for the day...

Happy day to all :)

It is a good morning for ninja training

Back again...

I told you that it was a super fast trip ;) I am back again and we spent some time outside, enjoying a bit of sun before the grey clouds started to roll in again... Now the boys have some friends over, doing a mass YouTube party. They enjoy watching other people play video games.... can't say that I get that concept ;) Oh well! They are quiet and not fighting... that is always worth something :)
Happy Saturday to you all! xox

Bye bye, Toronto!

Hello, Montreal!

Now I am back to play with Oliver......

..... and Nicka......

Beautiful day!

Running around

Nicka's school run was today and I volunteered to help out with managing the chaos of approximately 1500 young students (ages 5 to 8). It was lots of fun and all the children did really well! I was very proud of Nicka- he ran the whole course and was at least in the first quarter of the students. He told me that he came in 5th for his race but I have no idea how anyone could have figured out who came in what place! So much excitement :)

Beautiful day!

What a great view!

Here comes Nicka!

There he goes! Love you!

Basketball champs and a bit of Lego love

Alexander's basketball team played in the finals today..... and WON! It was a great game! I am starting to become really impressed at how well some of these boys play. Don't get me wrong; all of the boys have been in sports since they could basically walk but there, suddenly, comes a time when they are no longer little boys and it really shows when they play.

Of course, after collecting their gold medals, the reward for hard work was a trip to the new Lego store and ice cream. Honestly, the shop was really well set up and a little piece of heaven for my boys :) After making a set of 3 figurines, they were pretty well in love with the place. Reminder to wallet.... let's not do it too often ;)

Tomorrow is election day here in Quebec so I am staying home with the boys. Sometime over the day, I will have to cast my ballot. Should make for an interesting Monday.....

Now time for a little Sunday night cosy (hygge)! Happy evening to you all!

Montreal plays...

One major reason why I love Montreal is the never-ending street party, especially in the summer time: Francofolies, Montreal Jazz Festival, Just for Laughs Comedy, Nuits d'Afrique, International Fireworks Competition.... you can find the list here. This year, I am hoping to spend more time downtown, enjoying it! The boys are getting bigger now and I think that they will start to appreciate it more. I passed a nice reminder on my way to work this morning.... a reminder that Montreal plays.... :)
