About last weekend

Oops... I never made it to do a Monday post so it will have to be a Tuesday one instead ;)

I know that we are still in COVID times but, if you went by how full our schedules are getting, you wouldn't know it so much. The weekend was filled with soccer, football, deck building/renovating (Alexander's project for school... I am not complaining 😉), trampoline jumping, gardening, humidity and being thankful for a big umbrella!

Wishing you all a happy Tuesday xox

Pappa on TV

This month is Heart Month and, because Andreas does research in the area, he was asked to do an interview on a Montreal morning news show. Yesterday morning, he got up early and left before the boys woke up. I put the TV on, hoping to catch a glimpse of the interview. While getting breakfast ready, Alexander called out to let me know that Andreas' interview was on. I told the other 2 boys that Pappa was on TV. From the usual chaos came total quiet... What? Pappa was on TV? Why? I explained that it was because of his work and the lady on TV was asking Pappa about ways to keep your heart healthy. Suddenly, Oliver yelled out: "Hey, Pappa,Pappa, Pappa, Pappa! You are on TV! Come see.. you are on TV!" I don't think that he gets the concept 100% because, when I explained that Pappa was on TV right now, he said "He is there? Can he see himself on TV? Can he hear me? Hey, Pappa! You are on TV!" The other 2 boys were just in awe: Pappa, on TV... just like a Youtuber ;) Now, THAT is cool ;)

Happy Friday evening xox

Hallowe'en weekend

This weekend was filled with ghosts, scary zombies (and not just me before my morning coffee), morph costumes, friends and lots of SUGAR! We had a lovely time trick-or-treating with friends in our neighbourhood and great socializing afterwards. The weather was on our side (ie: no rain, snow or -15C) and we also got to change our clocks and gain one hour more sleep! I'll take it :) This evening, after the kids are in bed, Andreas will take his share of the 20% candy tax and I will guiltless-ly eat the dark chocolate/almond bar that I bought to celebrate Hallowe'en ;)

Wishing you all a great week xox

A little breather

I know that I have written about this before but, sometimes, our family goes up north to a place called Mont Tremblant for an evening away. We love to stay in the cosy village and just hang out together. Even though it is only for a night or two tops, it really helps to give a little breather. This whole semester at work has been very busy for both Andreas and me so these little breaks are much appreciated. So appreciated that I can now use another ;)

Wishing you all a great rest of the week xox

Hope you make it through the photo spam ;)

Last hurrah

School starts next week so the boys are fitting in as much fun as they can ;) Over the weekend, we had an impromptu sleep over with some of their best friends at our house and, as expected, it was lots of activity- exactly how they like it! Thank goodness for the trampoline ;) Sometimes I wonder who we really bought it for ;)

Happy boys and happy weekend

Today was Oliver's first real play date at our home. He had a friend from daycare come by and, since Oliver hasn't been at daycare since June, it was sheer happiness to see his friend again. The two small boys were so excited. The two bigger ones (ie: Alexander and Nicka) were just excited to get Oliver off their backs ;)
Anyway, the day was a success and Oliver was sad to see his friend go. We assured him that he would see his buddy soon and life was good again :) That and cake helped too ;)
Happy weekend! xox
