A moment of silence

Yesterday, it just happened. I didn't plan for it but it happened anyway. I was shocked and bewildered by it. I was not quite sure how to handle the situation. I felt like a fish out of water... but I enjoyed it... maybe, I could even get used to it ;) Without planning, I found myself- get this- alone at home!!!! Oliver was away at a friend's house and Andreas went to the gym. Alexander and Nicklas were outside, playing with neighbourhood boys, and I was home alone :) Wow!
Honestly, I didn't even realize until I was on the phone with my friend, who was surprise at the no-noise background status at our house. When she suggested that I have enjoy a cup of coffee by myself, I looked around and realized that- heck!- I actually could. So I did ;) Then, as suddenly as it appeared, it was gone again......

I put the boys in green to celebrate the day.... only to forget and wear pink myself ;)  I blame mother brain! Maybe I can find a green eyeliner in my bag ;)

Daylight savings

Sure... we miss out on an hour of sleep but, honestly, to have a few more hours of light on the evening end of things is worth it! Yesterday, Andreas and I sat on the front porch (yes, it was warm enough) to have a beer/tapas before dinner, while the boys were playing some funny soccer game thing that they had made up earlier in the day on the balcony in the back. We could hear them shouting in the back but we pretended that we didn't know who the noisy kids were. At least, they were happy sounds ;)
Today, we woke up to a beautiful sunrise. Yups.... it is worth it :)

Hello!

This morning

Evening out with boys....

Yesterday, we went to see the Montreal Impact (soccer/football) play against the New York Red Bulls. It was a great game and, so exciting for the boys, was that the Impact won! 3-0. I think that the excitement accompanying the goals almost equaled the excitement that accompanied the multiple snack bars on the way into the stadium. Disclosure: I was the worst-mother-ever and said no to the snacks. Paying $5 for a bottle of water and $5 for a hotdog (yes, one hotdog) was NOT on the agenda! Anyway, we had a great time and I was later forgiven (they got 2 hotdogs each at a non-stadium restaurant). Go, Impact, go!

Saturday morning

This morning, Andreas surprised me by removing all the snow from our balcony... YAH! I guess that he DOES love me! We may even be able to enjoy a cup of coffee outside later today :) Until then, it is the perfect place to exercise. Oliver is on an exercise kick because he wants to outrun the fastest boy in his kindergarten class.... Watch out, Wyatt! There is competition in town ;) I prefer his exercise ambitions than his brothers' desires to get the high scores on Clan Royale ;)

Is it almost Friday?

I guess it is because we had last week off... I am also guessing it is because I could have used another 2 weeks off... I am also guessing it is because I can usually manage one work from home day during the week but couldn't this week.... I feel freaking tired! Between Alexander and Nicka's homework questions, I am sneaking a coffee to make it until their bedtimes.... If you are a coffee traditionalist, I know that it is not REAL coffee time but please don't judge me ;)

What a difference a day makes!

Yesterday was a snow storm (warm-ish but very snowy). Today, was 5C and everything was melting. Tomorrow is supposed to be 11C.... ahhhhh......
